Silhouettes Boutique, 125 N. Christina Street in Sarnia is well known as the place for professional bra fitting, mastectomy needs, hair alternatives and fashionable clothing.
Betty Dee, mother of Silhouettes owner Lori Mitchell-McNally has been caring for her customers in her wig business for 60 years and has recently decided it is time “to finish her bucket list.” She has passed her business to her daughter who now carries wigs within Silhouettes Boutique. Mitchell-McNally says, “It has been an easy and simple transition for Mom and me, a natural transfer of trust.”
Silhouettes Boutique stocks both high quality synthetic and human hair wigs. Mitchell-McNally, a former hairdresser with decades of experience assists clients with their wig purchase and teaches them how to care for their wigs in the Boutique’s compassionate, private and warm space. There has been much advancement in the market of hair replacement and the fashion forward companies she deals with offer many varieties of styles and colours.
A breast cancer survivor herself, Mitchell-McNally has a personal understanding of the needs of her clients. She offers her expertise as a hair alternative specialist every other month at the Canadian Cancer Society’s Look Good Feel Better Programme. She can provide clients with information on resources available to assist them in purchasing wigs, hair alternatives and mastectomy needs.
